From the 10. to the 13. of MARCH 2005
ILLZACH (Espace 110) France - Haut-Rhin

The competition is open to professional and semi-professional chamber music groups from 3 to 10 musicians, of all nationalities.
Candidates have to be born after the 1st January 1970.

COMPETITION

1st round : 10 min as the candidates choice of programme March 10. & 11. 2005
2nd round : 15 min as the jury choice of programme March 12. 2005
Final : 15 - 20 min as the jury choice of programme March 13. 2005

Candidates will choose their own repertoire and will present a programme of 45 minutes minimum, including four works of which at least two will be complete.

PRIZE

Total Prize Money : 12.000 €
The Jury includes European musical personalities.

REGULATIONS

1) The Competition is open to professional and semi-professional chamber music groups from 3 to 10 musicians, of all nationalities.

2) No candidate may play in more than one group.

3) All candidates should be born after the 1st January 1968.

THE COMPETITION

4) Candidates will choose their own repertoire and will present a programme of 45 minutes minimum, including 4 works of which at least 2 will be complete.

5) The Competition comprises 3 rounds:

   1st round 20-21/03/2003
      duration 10 minutes :
      extracts or complete
      works candidates' 
      choice.

   2nd round 22/03/ 2003 
      duration 15 minutes :
      extracts or complete 
      works jury's choice.

   FINAL 23/03/2003 duration 
      15 to 20 minutes :
      extracts or complete
      works jury's choice.

6) The order of playing for the 2nd and 3rd rounds will be decided by ballot.

7) Practice rooms with piano will be available for the candidates.

8) Each group will be allowed 10 mins. for testing the Competition hall's acoustics. 

9) Candidates should send to ADMC 3 photocopies of the scores of works played during the first round, at the latest by the 8 March 2003, the reference date being the Post stamp.

10) Candidates shall supply the organisers with photocopies of the scores of the others works of their programme on their arrival at Illzach.

11) Candidates shall not play from photocopies.

12) The jury reserves the right to interrupt a group during playing.

REGISTRATION

13) All applications should be received by 10/02/2003, or post-marked before this date. Registration becomes definitive after receipt of the registration fee.

14) A registration fee of 30,-€ for each participant should be paid by cheque or money order made out to A.D.M.C. In case of non participation for any reason, the fee will not be refunded.
NB. Whatever the type of payment used, it is important that the name of the group or the person in charge be mentioned.

15) A list of hotels with a map will be sent to groups taking part. Groups reaching the final will receive a lump sum of 80,-€ per musician.

16) When registering, the person in charge will define the following:
" the group's name,
" candidates' names and instruments
" the works chosen.

All correspondence will be addressed directly to the person indicated on the copy of the registration form. All questions or problems with may arise connected with participating in the Competition will be discussed with this person only.

17) Groups are advised to register as soon as possible. The organisers reserve the right to limit the number of participants.

18) Candidates will report to the Illzach 110 Centre at Illzach on the day and at the time convened.

19) Should the Competition be cancelled, registration fees would be refunded but no claim of any sort could be lodged against the organisers.

RESULTS

20) The jury's decisions are final and irrevocable.
The jury reserves the right not to award all the prizes.

21) The results of the Competition will be announced officially by the jury after the hearings.
22) The winners agree to participate gratuitously at the final concert of which the programme will contain works
presented during the Competition, in agreement with the organisers.

23) The Competition organisers accept no responsibility for the candidates' instruments and belongings.

24) Participation in the Competition requires complete acceptance of the present regulations.

25) In case of dispute, the French text only is valid.

26) The jury may award:

Organisers of concerts, festivals and others musical events will be present during the event.

7) A registration fee of 40 € for each participant should be paid, by bank transfer, to ADMC:account n° 00026007545, CCM ILLZACH6, place de la République F-68110 ILLZACH. In case of non participation for any reason, the fee will not be refunded.

 8) After acceptance of the registration, each group will be notified of day and time of the first round. This notification will take place on february 10th 2005.
9) Candidates will report to the ESPACE 110 in Illzach on the day and at the time indicated on their convocation.

11) Groups reaching the final will receive a lump of 50 € per musician.

12) All correspondence will be addressed directly to the person indicated on the copy of the registration form. All questions or problems connected with participating in the Competition will be discussed with this person only.
